Every resident is provided with full-access memberships to two premier fitness facilities, offering a variety of opportunities to engage in physical activity, build self-confidence, and foster a healthy lifestyle.

Every resident at Chapter House has a full membership at Gracie Gym Richardson Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The self-defense concepts within the martial art of Jiu-Jitsu are specifically designed to teach a smaller individual how to defend themselves against a larger opponent using leverage and technique. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches you how to fight off the ground, otherwise known as grappling, and submit your opponent through submission holds.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is commonly recommended by psychologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists for individuals who need to experience connection with their body, build self-confidence, learn how to experience defeat and limitations, build boundaries, and create a sense of community. When young adult men dive into the sport of Jiu-Jitsu, it can truly be life-changing, fostering personal growth and resilience.

Crull Fitness

In addition to Jiu-Jitsu, every resident at Chapter House has a membership at Crull Fitness, a unique sports-specific training gym. Crull Fitness offers group training, personal training, sports-specific training, and special needs training. The gym avoids cookie-cutter machine workouts, focusing instead on tailored fitness plans to help its clients and members achieve their personal health goals. Personal training is available at all levels to ensure individualized attention and support.

Sports-specific training at Crull Fitness is designed for young athletes, college athletes, and adults who play various sports, including football, soccer, baseball, figure skating, and rugby. These sessions utilize vertical training, power training, speed exercises, agility work, and injury prevention techniques. Athletes improve balance, strength, and other physical requirements for their sport, helping them excel and maintain physical health.

By integrating these fitness opportunities into our residents' routines, Chapter House ensures a balanced approach to recovery, emphasizing the importance of physical health and wellness alongside mental and emotional well-being.
